We posted an article a couple of weeks ago about a Kickstarter project for Road Redemption, looking to bring back Road Rash in a much more up-to-date form.
At the time of writing, there is less than a day left on the project but the team at DarkSeas Games have already exceeded their $160,000 goal and now it’s a race to meet each of the stretch goals. Number one on the list is Xbox 360 support via Xbox Live Arcade requiring $178,000, followed by number two which aims for Oculus Rift support requiring $198,000.
The Xbox 360 support doesn’t really appeal to me as a PC gamer, but the Oculus Rift support really does – hopefully we’ll get out hands on one of these devices here at 1001-Up.com to see what all the fuss is about. So while we’d normally encourage you to go back the project to get it funded, it’s great news that they have reached their target and instead we hope you head on over to Kickstarter and give them some dollars to help push for the second stretch goal. Also be sure to give the Steam Greenlight entry a thumbs up!
The release date currently sits at July 2014, which is over a year away but hopefully we’ll get to see a lot of new content for the game now they have full funding for the development. We’re look forward to seeing our name in the Road Redemption hall of fame.
