Sometimes when you look through Kickstarter, you stumble across something just that little bit different. This is what happened to us this week; while looking through all the fantastic gaming projects we came across a classy-looking art book called Every Day is Play by Matthew Kenyon.
Every Day is Play will showcase the work of game designers, musicians and artists, along with writers and developers. All these people have presented something created using inspiration from a particular title, their favourite console or a specific era in gaming history. Through a series of features and special interviews, covering everything from game modifications to fan art, Kenyon will aim to produce a beautiful book that show a wealth of creativity.
I can see Every Day is Play being a great coffee table book that people want to delve into and enjoy, with their imagination taking over and thoughts of what they would have contributed to the book if they had the chance. With this being a collaborative project submissions are still being taken, so if you want to get involved and have your visions of what gaming means to you featured then be sure to visit Game Paused for all the information on how to submit your work.
At the time of writing, Every Day is Play has received £10,923 of its £26,000 target from 241 backers, and with twenty days of funding left it’s more than on target to succeed. This book needs to be made simply because it will give an insight on how other gamers view the gaming world they love so much. Head on over to Kickstarter and be sure to back this amazing project, because when you’re looking through the book with a nostalgic smile on your face you won’t be regret becoming a supporter.
